Charlie Hustle, Boulevard teaming up with Royals for new beer, shirts and charity benefit

Two iconic Kansas City brands are teaming up with the Kansas City Royals to roll out a new beer and new duds, all with a special charitable hook.

Boulevard Brewing Company and Charlie Hustle Clothing Co. are teaming up with two Royals players, Whit Merrifield and Hunter Dozier, with special summer offerings that will help benefit two Kansas City-area charities.

Charlie Hustle, in partnership with Boulevard, is rolling out two new T-shirts featuring Merrifield and Dozier. Part of the proceeds from each shirt will go to benefit a charity of the player’s choice.

Proceeds from Merrifield’s “Two Hit Whit” shirts will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City, and proceeds from Dozier’s “Bull Dozier” shirts will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters.

This is the second year for the partnership. Last year’s fundraiser with Merrifield raised $20,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Merrifield said he’s thrilled to continue the partnership, and to raise money for, in his words, “some of the best people around,” while also bringing Dozier into the partnership.

“Last year, we kept over 8,000 families close to their sick children during some of the most important days of their lives.” said Tami Greenberg, CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities of KC. “We are grateful for the generosity and continued support of Boulevard, Charlie Hustle, and Royals Charities.”

Those shirts can be purchased online through Charlie Hustle and Boulevard, as well as at Charlie Hustle’s Country Club Plaza store, and at the Boulevard brewery.

While at the brewery, check out the new Kansas City Royals-themed beer. It’s a new limited release called Hustle Up!

Boulevard said the new offering is a refreshing, 100 calorie blonde ale. It’s officially available in grocery stores and liquor stores starting Tuesday.
