Ronald McDonald House Family Room at Overland Park Regional Medical Center
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City is thrilled to be expanding across the state line into Overland Park Regional Medical Center (OPRMC). We opened the new Ronald McDonald Family Room inside the hospital earlier this month, with four sleeping rooms for families with sick children.
The new space will ensure families have a safe, peaceful environment to find respite while their child is getting medical treatment. This room will be steps away from the neonatal and pediatric intensive care units at Overland Park Regional Medical Center, and will offer a place for families to rest and regroup away from the medical environment. Families will be able to shower, stay overnight, have a home-cooked meal and utilize laundry facilities inside the Family Room.
The campaign to raise $1.45 million has closed thanks to the support of the generous community! Thank you for making the new Ronald McDonald Family Room a reality for families with a child in the NICU or PICU at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
